These are related, and they are not the same object.

Song Book I, the book, is literature: lyrics on the page plus the personal explanations that do not belong in a streaming queue. Love, longing, regret, ambition, obsession, aging, loss, and the complicated ways people make sense of their lives. Some chapters are deeply personal. Others begin with an observation, a question, or an imagined story.

Song Book I, the album, is the first Saber Jets songbook. The recordings, the lyric pages, and the band’s fictional world live at SaberJets.com.

Craig brings the stories and the lyrics. Technology brings the music and the voices, guided by a long process of creating and comparing versions until the phrasing, arrangement, and vocal performance feel right. The book is about that process as much as it is about the songs.
